What Do You Get?

The AIMS-Lite package includes the following components:

• AIMS4 Standard System: Provides core site functions. It includes a powerful administration console that provides access to all site management functions. It includes simple workflow (draft & publish) and WYSIWYG (word-processor like) content editing. The ability to add and manage users is also provided.

• Up to 6 site sections: The package allows for up to 5 top level site sections plus a news section. Each section is enabled with an Article publisher and a Topic manager, allowing you to add and manage navigation topics within sections. Each topic may contain news items and/or articles.

• No limit on number of pages.

• Branding Publisher: allows site administrators to change the site logo and site banner images.

• Features Publisher: allows administrators to manage up to 2 feature boxes on your site. Feature boxes allow site content to be highlighted and are typically located on the home page.

• Page Fragments Editor: Page fragments are pieces of text in various fixed template locations. They could typically be used for introductory text etc. The AIMS-Lite package incorporates 1 text fragment enabling you to change the welcome message on the home page.

• Site Pages Publisher: Site pages are one-off pages that are stand-alone and don't belong with a collection of articles. Under the AIMS-Lite solution, a number of site pages are provided, e.g. Contacts, Disclaimer, Links. They contain content that you can edit if required.

• Site SearchEnables users to locate content via user-entered keywords.

• Email Distribution: an email solution is provided to enable you to distribute your news content automatically via one news mailing list. This solution also includes a subscribe engine that will enable your site users to subscribe themselves to this mailing list.

• Online Form Submission: a forms engine that enables site users to fill out and submit online forms from your site. Form transactions are then emailed to one nominated address within your organisation. A basic Feedback form is included in the AIMS-Lite solution.

• Site Statistics: If the site is hosted on a Social Change Online server, site administrators are able to access site statistics. The statistics tool provides detailed information on the site's performance including date/time page hits, etc.

• File uploader: This component enables one or more files to be uploaded to the site and attached to nominated site pages. Download links on the public pages list the files: link name, file type and size are displayed as well.

• Image uploader: This component enables images to be uploaded to the site and attached to a nominated site page. Thumbnail images are automatically created and are displayed in search results and indexes.

• Rich text editor (WYSIWYG): The Rich Text Editor works the same way as Microsoft Word and enables users to mark-up a page's content: make text bold, italicise, create tables, insert hyperlinks etc.

• RSS Enabled News: This allows others to subscribe to your sites news feed. They could use this feed to display on their own sites or in their browser.

• To Do list: The To Do list is a feature of the administration interface that lists site items that require attention. For example it includes any items that are in "Draft" status.

• Standard metadata: Standard metadata is incorporated into all published pages, including organisation details relevant to the site.
